Welcome everyone to the 2008 WWE Royal Rumble!!! I am Jabroni Wade along side 2 other Jabroni’s.Ric Flair vs. MVP. Ric Flair comes out first, grabs a mic and says it’s been great wrestling in MSG. MVP cuts him off and the match gets underway. MVP hits some moves then taunts Flair who replies with chops but MVP regains control. Flair fights back and tries for the Figure Four early but MVP cuts him off once then rolls him up for the second attempt. MVP whips Flair into the turnbuckle, gives him that big boot then goes for the pin but Flair gets his foot on the rope. There was a sopt where the ref counted 3 but saw Flair’s foot so he waved it off. Flair gets a couple nearfalls in after this but MVP keeps control. Flair has been doing mostly chops and pin attempts no doubt trying to end it quick. MVP tries for the Playmaker but Flair reverses and applies the Figure Four for the submission.Backstage with Hornswaggle and Vince. He tells Hornswaggle not to trust anyone when he goes out for the Rumble.We get the introduction of a new annoucer then the video package of JBL vs. Jericho. Chris Jericho vs. JBL. I was surprised to see that Jericho kept his old music. Lots of back and forth to start out and Jericho takes control, goes for the Walls of Jericho early but JBL gets to the ropes. He then rolls out but Jericho hits a baseball slide, throws him into the steps then rolls him back in. Jericho runs at JBL but he catches him and hot shots him onto the rope then works on Jericho’s throat. JBL now moves to a sleeper. Jericho manages to get out, hits a clothesline but JBL hits a big boot then drives Jerichos’ shoulder and head into the ringpost. Jericho rolls out of the ring but JBL comes after him, kicks him in the head and Jericho is busted open. JBL rolls Jericho back in and pummels him in the corner. Jericho fights out, hits the Lionsault then clotheslines himself and JBL to the outside. JBL rams Jericho’s head into the announce table, gets an announce table ready but turns around to a wicked chairshot from Jericho which causes the DQ. JBL goes back into the ring but Jericho follows him in, blasts him again with the chair then starts choking him with a mic cable. Lillian now anounces that JBL has won this match via DQ.Backstage with Ashley and Santino Morella. Ashley wants to talk to Maria but Santino says she’s busy.Video package of Rey vs. Edge.World Heavyweight Championship: Rey Mysterio vs. Edge. Rey comes out with an awesome headdress. Edge pushes Rey into the corner and Rey responds with some high flying moves. The fans are clearly behind Edge as Rey gets a nearfall. Rey gets some great moves in, gets some nearfalls but Edge reverses a move then attacks Rey’s left knee. Edge sinches in a half crab but Rey doesn’t submit so he lets go and does another submission. Edge tries to take off Rey’s left boot but Rey fights back but his knee is hurting pretty bad. Rey gets a couple nearfalls then shows some frustration. Rey now up top, hits a double stomp and gets 2. Edge rolls out but Rey has slid under the ropes and hits a DDT on the floor. Rey rolls him in, hits the 619 then a splash but Vickie pulls the ref out. Vickie distracts Rey but catches Edge, goes the 619 again but Vickie gets up on the apron and takes the brunt of the move. Rey tries for the West Coast Pop but Edge spears him in mid air and gest the win.Back in the locker room with Kennedy and Flair. Kennedy is about to challenge Flair for a match at Mania but HBK comes in. Kennedy leaves, HBK congratulates Flair then Batista and HHH show up. HBK promotes his new shirt and hands one to Flair.Kiss Cam is up now. Ashley has now come out. She says she got a phone call for Hugh Hefner asking if Maria would like to pose in Playboy. Santino comes out before Maria can answer Santino comes out and says nobody wants to see her naked. He runs down NY sports teams then grabs Maria and starts to leave but Ashley tells them to wait. Ashley asks her about posing in Playboy again and Maria says she’s not sure. Santino now introduces a “special” friend for Ashley and it’s big fat not so oily guy with 2 plastic chickens. Ashley slaps him with the chickens all the way out of the ring.Mike Adamle is back talking about the Hardy/Cena match. He calls him “Harvey” but quickly corrects himself and we get the video package.WWE Championship: Jeff Hardy vs. Randy Orton. Jeff and Orton lock up and roll into all 4 corners then break on the ropes with Jeff taking control and we get a couple nearfalls. Orton gets a headscisorrs in but Jeff turns it around and gets another nearfall then clotheslines Orton to the outside then baseball slides his head hard into the security wall. Jeff follows this up with a springboard cross body block. Orton tries to leave but Jeff cuts him off and rolls him back into the ring, tries for a springboard move but Orton dropkicks him in mid air rolls him in and gets 2. Jeff fights back, throws Orton outside again and leaps off the apron with a clothesline. Back in the ring, Orton dodges Jeff who rams his shoulder into the turnbuckle. Jeff tries to fight back but Orton counters with a power slam for 2 then sinches in a headlock. Jeff gets out of it then hits the Whisper in the Wind solidly and gets a close 2. Jeff going up top but Orton rolls onto the apron and Jeff changes direction and nails him then moonsaults from the top turnbuckle to the floor and both men are down. Jeff is up first, rolls Orton in the ring and tries for the Twist of Fate but Orton reverses it quickly and nails the RKO for the win. Jeff gets a little pop then leaves the ring.Tazz and Styles talk a little about the Royal Rumble then send it off to the “By the Numbers” video.If you really need to know what match is up next then you obviously haven’t been paying attention to the show. Royal Rumble!!! We get a special rules announcer tonight in the form of Michael Buffer. We get a special rules announcer tonight in the form of Michael Buffer. 1^st man out is The Undertaker! The 2nd entrant is none other than “The Heartbreak Kid” Shawn Michaels!!! #3 is Santino Morella who gets Superkicked then thrown out. #4 is Great Khali. He and Undertaker try to chokeslam each other and Khali is eliminated. #5 is Hardcore Holly and he actually doesn’t get eliminated before the 6^th person is out which is John Morrison. Morrison gets a big elbow and Tommy Dreamer is the 7^th entrant. The ring is filling up as the 8^th entrant is Batista. He and Taker have a staredown but Dreamer breaks it up and gets eliminated then Hornswaggle is the 9^th entrant who decides to hide underneath the ring. Chuck Palumbo is 10^th out and I’m surprised he’s still around. #11 is Jamie Noble who goes after Palumbo but Palumbo takes control and eliminates him. CM Punk is the 12^th out, goes nust on everybody until Undertaker clotheslines him in a savage way then CM Punk eliminates Palumbo as Cody Rhodes comes out as the 13^th entrant. The 14^th entrant is Umaga who goes after everybody then eliminates Hardcore Holly via the Samoan Spike. Snitsky is the 15^th entrant who stomps Morrison in the corner but Cody attacks him from behind. 16^th out is The Miz and I could care less about this man. Shelton Benjamin is the 17^th entrant who gets in a few good moves before he’s eliminated via a Superkick as “Superfly” Jimmy Snuka comes out followed by “Rowdy” Roddy Piper!!! Everybody else has stopped to watch Piper and Snuka for a few moments as Kane is now out and eliminates Piper and Snuka. Carlito is now out followed by Mick Foley! Next out is Kennedy who gets chokeslammed by Undertaker who is now going nuts. Big Daddy V comes out as Snitsky, Undertaker and HBK all got knocked out around the same time. Mark Henry is out next and Hornswaggle comes out from under the ring and helps elmininate The Miz. Chavo is in and Morrsion is out. Hornswaggle comes back out and gets caught by Henry, Big Daddy V and Chavo. They were going to pummel Hornswaggle but Finlay comes out, whacks all 3 and Kennedy then takes Hornswaggle to the back and Elijah Burke is out. Punk is eliminated and HHH comes out as #29. Cody Rhodes, Big Daddy V, Mick and Burke are out as well. The final entrant is JOHN CENA!!! He eliminates Carlito, Henry and Chavo. Batista has come back in and eliminated Kennedy and Umaga. Kane is now eliminated and we have Batista, HHH and Cena. They all taunt each other for a bit then go at it. HHH eliminates Batista. Cena and HHH trade blows and Cena gets the upper hand, hits the Five Knuckle Shuffle, goes for the FU but HHH reverses into the Pedigree which is reversed again and both men clothesline each other. Series of reversals which Cena eliminating HHH for the win. Cena celebrates in the ring as the show ends.
